This tutorial assumes you have good working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro and its tools. It was created and written in PspX2 but may be done in previous versions. My tutorials are from my own creative imagination any resemblance to other tutorials is strictly coincidental. If I am using a brush or mask that belongs you and I don't have you listed please let me know which tutorial and which item is yours include your designer name and website information so I can give you credit and remove them from the materials. I am copyright compliant so any tutorial that has a tube whether it is a Pay To Use (PTU) or Free To Use (FTU) will never be included in my materials. The same goes for scrap kits.

Settings used throughout:
Frame Drop Shadow: 2,2,75,6,#404040
Element Drop Shadow: 2,2,32,2,#808080
 
Tutorial Instructions:

Step 1: Open the Your my guiding light template:  SHIFT+D and close original

Step 2: Your duplicated template should be active if not activate it.

  • Delete the copyright-info layer
  • Activate the Group - mask layer
  • CTRL+A, CTRL+F, CTRL+SHIFT+F


Step 3: Open TP_Paper_03; CTRL+C and close

Step 4: CTRL+L

  • CTRL+SHIFT+I
  • Hit your delete key
  • CTRL+D
  • Delete original layer
  • Highlight the matte layer
  • CTRL+A, CTRL+F, CTRL+SHIFT+F
  • Layers: New Raster Layer


Step 5: Open TP_Paper_06; CTRL+C and close

Step 6: CTRL+SHIFT+L

  • CTRL+D
  • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen
  • Delete the original layer
  • Activate frame layer
  • Effects: 3-D: Drop Shadow: Use frame drop shadow settings above
  • Merge down
  • Highlight the lower-right-matte frame
  • CTRL+A, CTRL+F, CTRL+SHIFT+F,
  • Layers: New Raster Layer


Step 7: CTRL+SHIFT+L

  • CTRL+D
  • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen
  • Delete the original layer
  • Activate frame layer
  • Effects: 3-D: Drop Shadow:
  • Merge down
  • Highlight the upper-left-matte frame
  • CTRL+A, CTRL+F, CTRL+SHIFT+F,
  • Layers: New Raster Layer


Step 8: Open TP_Paper_02; CTRL+C and close

Step 9:
[*]CTRL+D
[*]Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen
[*]Delete the original layer
[*]Activate frame layer
[*]Effects: 3-D: Drop Shadow:
[*]Merge down

Step 11: Open TP_Ocean_02; CTRL+C and close

Step 12: CTRL+L

  • SHIFT+S: 270 px (width) all layers unchecked
  • Move over to the right of the frame and up toward the top of the frame(see mine for example)
  • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen More
  • Effects: 3-D: Drop Shadow: Use Element drop shadow settings above


Step 13: Open TP_ByTheSea_01: CTRL+C and close

Step 14: CTRL+L

  • SHIFT+S: 224 px (width) all layers unchecked
  • CTRL+M
  • Move over to the left lower corner of the frame(see mine for example)
  • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen More
  • Effects: 3-D: Drop Shadow: Use Element drop shadow settings above


Step 15: CTRL+L

  • SHIFT+S:
    Step 11: Open TP_Boat_01; CTRL+C and close

    Step 16: CTRL+L

    • SHIFT+S: 45 px (width)
    • Move over to the right hand side of frame and slightly up (see mine for example]
    • CTRL+R:  Left: 13.32
    • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen More
    • Effects: 3-D : Drop shadow


    Step 17: Open TP_OldChest_03 ; CTRL+C and close

    Step 18: CTRL+L

    • SHIFT+S: 100 px (width)
    • Move to the right slightly and back past the willows ( see mine for example)
    • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen More
    • Effects: 3-D : Drop shadow


    Step 19: Open TP_BeachSign_01a: CTRL+C and close

    Step 20: CTRL+L

    • SHIFT+S: 190 px (width)
    • move to the right and just above the lower-right-hand frame (see mine for example)
    • Move this layer under old chest layer
    • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen More
    • Effects: 3-D : Drop shadow
    • Highlight old chest layer


    Step 21: Open TP_DriftWoodFlower_01: CTRL+C and close

    Step 22: CTRL+L

    • CTRL+M
    • SHIFT+S:  165 px (width)
    • Move to the bottom of the lower-right-hand frame (see mine for example)
    • Adjust: Sharpness: Sharpen
    • Effects: 3-D : Drop shadow


    Step 23: Open TP_Pearls_01: CTRL+C and close

    Step 24: CTRL+L

    • SHIFT+S:  365 px (width)
    • Move to the left side of the upper-left-hand frame (see mine for example)
    • Adjust: Sharpness:  Sharpen More
    • Effects: 3-D : Drop shadow (apply 2 times)


    Step 25: Delete background layer if your going to save as .png ; if saving as .jpg skip to step 26

    Step 26: Merge Visible

    • SHIFT+S: 500 px (width) all layers checked
    • Add Copyright info and watermark (if you use one)
    • Add Name
    • Save as .png or .jpg
